SlugClub – Pop Up Exhibition

Slugtown launched SlugClub in 2022 as a free monthly art club for young people in Shieldfield, Newcastle upon Tyne. Partnering with the Shieldfield Youth Programme (run by local organisations The Newbridge Project and Dwellbeing),and local primary schools’ after-school clubs, we host monthly workshops, producing riso-printed handbooks filled with fun, light-hearted and surreal activities for children to complete. We also invite artists to create a larger task, designed to be completed outside of the handbook with materials readily available.

This exhibition includes works made from prompts designed by Slugtown, and artists Rosie McGinn and Harley Kuyck-Cohen.
