We are pleased to announce the next installment of our SlugClub Pop-Up Exhibitions featuring work made in SlugClub sessions at Hotspur Primary School over the past few months. The exhibition will present artwork made from prompts designed by artists Daniel Eatock, Alex Sickling and Lottie Smith. Come along to see what the young people of Shieldfield have been up to, including colourful clip frame paintings, cardboard birds and a cornucopia of clay critters.

Slugtown launched SlugClub in 2022 as a free monthly art club for young people in Shieldfield, Newcastle upon Tyne. Partnering with the Shieldfield Youth Programme,and local primary schools’ after-school clubs, we host monthly workshops, producing riso-printed handbooks filled with fun, light-hearted and surreal activities for children to complete. We also invite artists to create a larger task, designed to be completed outside of the handbook with materials readily available.
